Training is delivered by experienced and knowledgeable trainers who have operated ‘in the field’ for many years. They use their experience to bring the training to life with relevant anecdotes and techniques which supports a more engaging learning experience.
 

Chris has worked in the Fire and Rescue Service at the sharp end for over 20 years. During that time he’s ably supported the resolution of many emergency incidents, including casualty care at many RTC’s, fires and industrial accidents. He became an instructor in first aid and trauma in 2011 and has trained many firefighters this vital skill. Alongside his full-time role, he studied at UCLAN to gain a degree in Fire & Leadership followed by a Masters Degree in Psychology when his interest in decision-making and human factors was activated. Subjects that he trains at Skills for Safety are: First Aid, Fire Safety, Human Factors and Manual/Safe Handling. He is also a qualified fire extinguisher engineer. Outside of work, Chris lives in East Lancashire with his wife and two daughters and Sprocker Spaniel, Bobby.

Anthony has proudly served on the front line of the fire and rescue service for the past 17 years, responding to a wide variety of challenging incidents. Over the course of his career, he has provided expert medical care at the scene of building fires, road traffic collisions, entrapments, working at heights, and water rescues. In 2015, Anthony became a certified first aid and trauma instructor, using his experience to train countless fire and rescue service members in life-saving skills. In addition to his commitment to public safety, Anthony holds qualifications as a football coach and in talent identification, reflecting his passion for both community service and sport.

Outside of work, Anthony also lives in East Lancashire with his partner and their three children,.
