About these courses
Designed for parents or paid child-carers in commercial settings such as nurseries and schools. The syllabus covers the requirements listed in OFSTED's EYFS Statutory Framework effective 1st November 2024. It is important to understand your risk and needs based on your own setting. Delegates must have a basic command of the English language to attend this course. We will make every effort to accommodate any special requirements in terms of learning needs and neurodiversity, please get in touch before your course so we can explore how best to support you.
Please Note – A requirement to complete this course is that a candidate can carry out unaided CPR, so a general level of fitness is required and an ability to carry out CPR on the floor.

Be able to assess an emergency situation and prioritise what action to take.

Help a baby/child who is unresponsive and breathing normally.

Help a baby/child who is unresponsive and not breathing normally.

Help a baby/child who is having a seizure.

Help a baby/child who is choking.

Help a baby/child who is suffering from shock caused by severe blood loss (hypovolemic shock).
