Service Description
The BLS and AED course gives a basic level of knowledge and skill to be able to effectively carry out basic life support. Course duration: 0.5 days Assessment: No Maximum Capacity: 20 Training target It’s designed for those who would like to know what to do if they came across someone unconscious and not breathing. Delegates must have a basic command of the English language to attend this course. We will make every effort to accommodate any special requirements in terms of learning needs and neurodiversity, please get in touch before your course so we can explore how best to support you. Please Note – A requirement to complete this course is that a candidate can carry out unaided CPR, so a general level of fitness is required and an ability to carry out CPR on the floor. Topics covered on this course: • Introduction of Basic Life Support concept • Heart Conditions • Recognising Cardiac Arrest • Familiarisation of the AED • How & when to use the AED • Practical use of the AED With practice scenarios
